This fun class is mainly free-talk, where students get to lead the conversations about their pets and how they take care of them. In this fun and interactive pet show and tell class, the students will be practicing several life skills by growing their abilities to use language, ask questions, and understand others. Here is the structure of the Pet Show and Tell class: I will share my pet with children. I let each learner ask me a question about my pet. The children then can show us their pets and speak about them. I interact with each child asking simple questions about their pet. I encourage children to ask each other questions as well. I encourage them to use exciting words or adjectives to describe their pet. The class will end with learning some fun facts about animals and we will have a mini-dance party with our new friends and our pets!
Learning Goals
This animal show and tell class will help students to build language skills, develop their social-emotional skills, encourage them to ask and think of questions, and increase their confidence!
