The class is a show and tell of your child's pet. Students will each get time to share the name, age, favorite thing to do with their pet, and how he/she brings happiness into his or her life. Once each child has been able to share, then students will be able to ask questions to each other about the other pets. If time allows, each can share what responsibilities are part of having that particular type of pet. Lastly, as the teacher, I can share about my pet cat as well. This class is to promote socialization as well as the benefits of having a pet. If a child, doesn't have a pet, he or she may learn about having one in order to help pick one.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about other types of pets, taking turns speaking and listening, and possibly the responsibilities of caring for other types of pets.
