Hello! I'm Ms. Horton, and I’ve spent 15 years educating students, specializing in STEM for Pre-K through 3rd grade and reading tutoring for young learners. My journey began in elementary education, and I later earned a master’s degree in secondary education with a focus on STEM.
I believe reading is the foundation for success in all subjects, and my passion lies in helping children become confident, fluent readers. As a tutor, I provide personalized, supportive lessons to build skills like comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking. Strong literacy skills open the door to learning in every area, including STEM.
In my STEM classes, I create hands-on, engaging lessons that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and innovation. Whether I’m guiding a student through a science experiment or helping them read their first chapter book, I strive to inspire a lifelong love for learning.
Let’s work together to help your child thrive in both reading and STEM!
