⭐️⭐️⭐️This class is taught 100% in Spanish.⭐️⭐️⭐️ Welcome to the study of the human body in Spanish! This is a FLEX class meaning all content will be pre-recorded. There will be no live meetings for this class. As your video teacher, I will be guiding your student through lessons and projects. I will be available to answer questions and checking on projects. This class is taught in Spanish. All video and materials will be in Spanish. The videos will be posted in the classroom tab. Week 1: The Nervous System What is the brain? What does it do? What are the parts of the brain? Projects: Make a brain hat, hands on activities to use different parts of the brain, brain puzzle. Week 2: The Circulatory System What is it? What is the heart? What does it do? What is blood? What is it made of? Experiment: How does the heart pump blood? What is the blood made of? Week 3: Los Dientes: What are they? How to take care of them? Parts of a tooth Project: Make a 3D paper tooth model and a toothbrush craft. Week 4: The Five Senses Activity: Classify / Sort Use the Five Senses activity Week 5: The Ear and Sound What is sound? What are the parts of the ear? Project: Make a telephone using plastic cups Week 6: The Eye What is the eye? What are the parts? Week 7: The Digestive System Project: How is food broken down and what happens to it? Week 8: The Skin What is skin? What is it for? Week 9: El Sistema Musculatorio' Week 10: El Sistema óseo Week 11: The tongue What is it? Activity: Sort foods according to taste and flavor. Week 12: Cells What are cells? What are types of cells? Spanish Classes:
I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced Spanish. Lessons are thematic. They contain vocabulary, incidental grammar, and a communicative component all throughout the lesson. Beginner learners will learn to form sentences in class.
1-on-1 Tutoring Language Classes:
One-on-one Spanish classes are ideal to work at the student’s pace and build confidence. Lessons are designed to meet the student’s needs and strengths.
Classes are 30 minutes.
Education Background:
I have a bachelors degree in Counseling Psychology, a Post-Baccalaureate in Early Childhood Education, followed by a Masters Degree in TESOL from Michigan State University. I have taught students of all ages from toddlers to adults. My classes are characterized by being dynamic with music, reading, and talking.
ESL - EFL English as a Second Language Classes:
I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced English classes. Lessons can be about books, specific grammar questions / exercises. I also teach advanced conversation classes. These classes start out with a prompt or theme followed by questions to guide the conversation. Learners are welcome to share their ideas, ask questions, and interact with other learners.
Classes are 25 minutes.
I am here to support, encourage, and motivate your learners in their language learning journey!
