In this ongoing class, students will work with Miss Davis to read, discuss and answer reading comprehension questions while also learning new vocabulary and increasing a love for reading. We meet once a week. Now with weekend classes.
Class experience
US Grade 5
In this class we will be reading a short passage using either a take turns reading strategy or a choral reading strategy. As we read we will discuss the meaning of the passage and identify and decode difficult vocabulary words. The discussion will include examples, pictures, videos and stress free student participation. Hello, I am Miss Rebecca Davis and here a a few points about me. - I have a Master's in English with teaching certification and a Bachelor's in English Literature. - I have been teaching English for five years. - I focus on Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary by reading grade level texts and holding discussions with students in a fun and low stress environment. - My personal philosophy is that reading is meant to be a fun and engaging activity, and by working to understand what we read and learning new vocabulary words in a relaxed environment, students can learn to enjoy reading and do better in school.
