Class Experience

The main focus of this class is to help students find enjoyment in writing while also providing them with education on writing structure.

Students will be taught in a relaxed environment where they will be able to write in a fun, stress free and creative way. The styles of writing will include roleplay (writing a story together), short story, poetry and informational essays (mainly about fun topics).

After a brief introduction to the writing prompt/activity of the day in which information and supplies will be provided, students will take turns in real time writing their passages using the chat function (about 3 to 5 minutes). Students can then read what they wrote if they wish, though it is not required.

In a roleplay structured class, the students will take turns writing, one after the other, in response to the written passage before. The teacher will closely monitor what is written and provide advice for proper story flow.

Before enrolling in this class, students should have a general idea of sentence structure and know how to spell/use the spell check function. This will provide a less stressful environment for everyone and an easy flow to the class.
