Does your student enjoy crafting? Do they also enjoy learning why we started celebrating specific holidays? If so, join me in this one time class where students can make a yarn wrapped, cardboard heart; while also learning why we celebrate Valentine's Day. Separating fact from fiction can sometimes stump our young learners. In this class your student will explore ways to distinguish what is real and what is not during reading. We will read a non-fiction article called "Valentine's Day" by Rose Davidson and a fictional short story called "The Year Valentine's Day Got Weird" by author unknown in class. Students will then compare and discuss their thoughts regarding both types of readings. It can be difficult to sit still and read/listen during classes for some students. That is why I would like to combine a yarn wrapping craft as we read. I feel that this will help students stay on track and limit fidgeting. My goal as a teacher is to keep my students interested in class. When students are engaged and having fun, they retain more information. I strive to create a fun and inviting environment for students to discuss their thoughts among peers as they learn something new. I hope to see your learner in my classroom soon. Let's have fun learning and crafting together. See you soon!

With four years of experience working in a virtual classroom, I am confident that your learner will feel comfortable and excited to come to class. I also have a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, with a concentration in Psychology. I have completed many English and Writing courses throughout my college adventure as well. I am excited to share my love of reading and writing with your students.
I will be offering mostly reading and writing based classed geared toward all levels. My classes are designed to enhance reading skills. Learners will increase reading fluency and improve comprehension. As for writing courses, learners can gain valuable skills to develop their writing ability in many different genres. While I mostly focus on reading and writing skills, I also offer classes involving animals, Disney movies, dress up, and much more.
I believe that children retain most information if they can connect to the material they are learning about. I strive to create a upbeat, fun classroom where all students feel excepted and free to express themselves. Learning can be fun when taught in creative and exciting ways. All of my offered classes are designed to keep your learners engaged with activities. Learners also participate in discussions and gain instruction in a positive learning environment.
I look forward to meeting your learners soon!
