Description
Class Experience
Students will need to read the weekly assigned book before each class in order to participate in group discussions and activities. Students can complete optional weekly reading questions to help them follow along and prepare for the weekly discussions.
Books (Library copy, or purchased) Book 1: Judy Moody and Stink - The Holly Joliday by Megan McDonald Book 2: Junie B. Jones - Jingle Bells, Batman Smells! (P.S. So Does May) by Barbara Park Book 3: Nate the Great and the Crunchy Christmas by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat and Craig Sharmat Pencil, Coloring materials Weekly Reading Questions - Optional; Provided by me the week before that class A second device (optional) or split the screen on one device during the weeks we use external websites.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This class does not promote a specific religion or religious point of view. It follows Outschool's Class Content Policy and focuses on the story. Though the focus is on reading discussions and literacy activities, it is possible for some learners to share their beliefs or nonbeliefs of Santa, and views of Christmas.
