1 hour per week. The mastery of class material is shown by completing the in-class assignment of drawing a basic hand using the instructions provided. Students may choose to either share or not share their drawing with the class. No student has to share if they do not wish to. Students who pay attention to the class material and attempt the assignment have completed the goals of this class.Grading
The completion of the project of producing a drawing of a hand counts for 100% credit for this course. To those who require a grade to be assigned, a completed drawing is proof of earning a grade of 100%, an "A+" letter grade, a "pass" grade in a pass/fail class. For your own records, you may wish to write a date of completion on the back of your child's drawing and keep it in a folder of sample work. Please review your local guidelines to see which records you are required to keep to comply with your location's educational requirements for your child.Class Experience
This class is a fast-paced study on how to draw a very popular subject: hands! We will learn the basic steps to drawing this tricky subject, and your learner can continue using the steps after class to make progress on their drawings. Many artists find hands to be one of the most challenging things to draw, and hands are one of the subjects that my students ask how to draw the most. Once we review the basic steps, students can choose to either shade or color their drawings after the base drawing is finished. After class is over, students can practice what they have learned over and over as a review.
