In this class I will be teaching a variety of techniques used by working professionals for Voice Over Acting for Animation. We'll occasionally work on video game scripts as well. Topics will include: character development, voice techniques, additional dialogue recording (noises and extra stuff you record in sessions along with the dialogue), vocal warmups, creating volume and distance with your voice, ad libbing, creating before and after moments for a line of dialogue, auditioning skills and more. My teaching style is fun, supportive and interactive. Students will work on multiple scripts, sometimes working together, and sometimes working individually one by one. I will take questions after each sequence. Everyone will get multiple chances to work. The class will be informal-no experience required, all experience welcome.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a professional voice over actor in Hollywood for the last 6 years and a professional actor for 20. I am currently working on the animated show "Big Nate" for Nickelodeon as Mr. Galvin the science teacher. The series is based on the book series Big Nate. I also play various characters on the show "We Baby Bears" on The Cartoon Network, and The Rooster on "Kung-Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny" on Amazon Prime. I love working with kids, and got my start teaching at my daughter's elementary school where I taught improv. I then started teaching improv to a group of home schooled kids with learning differences, as well as at a school for gifted kids. I've worked with kids as young as 5 all the way to 18 years old. I'm now excited to teach kids how to voice over act based on my professional experience so they can learn how it's really done!
