Class Experience

Every week we'll read from a variety of scripts, create fun characters, adlib and learn simple voice over acting techniques used by working voice over professionals. I will provide constructive, positive feedback and direction for everyone. My teaching style is fun, supportive and interactive. Students will be using their voices throughout the class, sometimes working together at the same time, and sometimes one on one. I will take questions after each sequence. Students will be working with scripts and also improvising. Everyone will get multiple chances to work in every class, and will also be able to learn from watching their peers work. Students can join in any week. Here is an 8 week class breakdown:

Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a UCLA graduate with a BA in Theatre Arts and have been a professional voice over actor and professional actor in Hollywood for over 20 years. I am currently working on the animated show "Big Nate" for Nickelodeon as Mr. Galvin the science teacher. The series is based on the book series Big Nate. I also play various characters on the show "We Baby Bears" on The Cartoon Network, and The Rooster on "Kung-Fu Panda: Paws of Destiny" on Amazon Prime. I love working with kids, and got my start teaching at my daughter's elementary school where I taught improv. I then started teaching improv to a group of home schooled kids with learning differences, as well as at a school for gifted kids. I've worked with kids as young as 5 all the way to 18 years old. I'm now excited to teach kids how to voice over act based on my professional experience so they can learn how it's really done!
