Description
Class Experience
Individual tutoring to help your child improve reading skills! During the beginning of this class, fluency and comprehension will be informally assessed. Factors of fluency or comprehension will be instructed and practiced based on the student's strengths and needs. Supporiting comprehension will focus on understanding of the text and recall of information. Oral reading will focus on fluency to improve accuracy, speed, and expression. All texts will be shared on my screen, so you do not...
Improvement of reading level and comprehension depth: Students will practice and improve their reading fluency and information recall ability. Pacing, speed, and expression will be the focus of fluency practice. Comprehension practice will include questions to recall events or details from the text.
I have been teaching reading for 10 years. Fluency and comprehension are the cornerstones of reading ability. All learners CAN read and learn to love reading - they just need the skills and the right book!
