Pop It Multiplication and Division- Multiplying and Dividing 2-12 With a Fidget

*** This class is designed for learners that already know how to multiply and have a basic understanding of division*** I have other instructional classes that teach multiplication. Please see my class listings.

Pop It’s are pop-ular right now? (See what I did there?) But did you know that they can be an educational tool? This class is designed for learners that already have a firm grip on multiplying and are ready to move onto division. Learners will see the relationship between multiplication and division. 

This class is ongoing so learners can join at any time for additional practice on specific factors or stay for several weeks to strengthen multiplication and division skills across factors. Each class will focus on a set factor (see below) and problems will differ each class.

Week of January 11- Multiplying and Dividing by 2's
Week of January 18- Multiplying and Dividing by 3’s
Week of January 25- Multiplying and Dividing by 4’s
Week of February 1- Multiplying and Dividing by 5’s & review 
Week of February 8- Multiplying and Dividing by 6’s 
Week of February 15- Multiplying and Dividing by 7’s
Week of February 22- Multiplying and Dividing by 8’s
Week of March 1- Multiplying and Dividing by 9’s
Week of March 8- Multiplying and Dividing by 11's 
Week of March 15- Multiplying and Dividing by 12’s 


Required supplies
• A 12x12 Pop It  is required for this class. Larger Pop Its are acceptable, as long as they are square.  Please note that this is a different size than my Multiplying 0-9 class. 
• Provided worksheet (1 per class is required). Placing the worksheet in a plastic bag or sheet protector is encouraged
• Pencil or dry erase marker 

Q&A:
1. Is the 12x12 Pop It required? 
   Yes, the instruction is based off the number of bubbles, shape, and size of the Pop It. Learners may get confused when using a smaller and different shaped Pop It. Larger square Pop It’s are acceptable. 
2. Does my learner need to know multiplication? 
  Yes, learners should have a strong understanding of multiplication. Little instruction is provided on multiplication. I do offer classes that cover multiplication using a Pop It. Please see my class list.
3. How is the class structured? 
  The class will start off with introductions, followed by a quick game. A brief instruction time will be provided. Learners will be provided with a worksheet that they can reference at any time during the class. The last part of the class will include Pop It games using division problems. 
4. What does "ongoing" mean? 
  This class will rotate through the factors 2-12. Learners are automatically enrolled in the following week until the learner subscription is stopped by the parent.
