Beginner Level
In this 1:1 reading support class, learners work to strengthen early reading skills to become a strong independent reader. Learners will engage, interact, and improve reading skills by reading and playing games to enhance reading accuracy and self confidence for becoming an independent reader. We will use leveled stories based on learners instructional reading level. Each session will focus on the following skills: phonemic awareness & phonics games to build decoding skills (ability to sound out words) letters & letter sounds rhyming segmenting & blending sight words vocabulary & story comprehension reading fluency & accuracy sentence writing I strive to provide a happy, relaxed, and encouraging learning environment where learners feel safe and comfortable to master foundational reading skills. I want learning to read to be fun and motivating to instill the love for reading. I look forward to working with you and your child.
