Phonics Fun in First: Level 1 - Decoding and Spelling with Short Vowels

Enroll your Kindergartener or First Grader in this dynamic class, where they will develop critical phonemic awareness and phonics skills through fun and engaging activities. I will guide students through the foundations of short vowel sounds and CVC words, using a variety of approaches, including movement, sensory experiences, drawing, and word-mapping. Students will gain confidence in sounding out, reading, and spelling CVC words while sharing their ideas and work with the class. This class covers 5 weeks of CVC words. Learners that are ready to move on to digraphs can enroll in the next class - Phonics Fun in First: Level 2 - Decoding and Spelling with Digraphs. If your learner needs more review, they can stay enrolled, and we will cover new words throughout the next 5 weeks.
