In this watercolor workshop we will talk about and try the techniques needed to create your own original galaxy painting. This class will focus heavily on technique and students will be encouraged to complete any unfinished work on their own time. No previous watercolor experience is necessary. Drawing experience not necessary. Students will learn watercolor techniques: Wash Wet on wet Splatter Desaturation Lifting

Supply List
Students will use the following materials (student grade artist materials are appropriate): 3-5 sheets, A4 in size, of watercolor paper. watercolor paints - ultramarine blue, burnt umber, crimson red, titanium white one medium sized synthetic bristle paintbrush one detail sized synthetic paintbrush one pencil, eraser, and ruler one clean water pot (with clean water) one paint water pot 3-4 paper towels salt Bonus: access to hairdryer with adult supervision Optional: white gel pen black marker or felt tip pen

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
