Description

Class Experience

Best known for his paintings, Pablo Picasso also created charming drawings using only a single line. We will explore this fun, and challenging technique, as we discuss how Pablo began using these as autographs, and later transformed them into more serious drawings. We will follow some Iconic Picasso shapes, before designing our own. Focusing on animals, foods, and student choice, participants will enhance their control, inversion ability, and ingenuity. As we keep our drawing tools connected...

Control, and sense of experimentation will go-exist side by side in this exercise. Learners will practice making shapes using one, continuous stroke. We will tap into our creativity and ability to simplify.

Any drawing supplies and paper

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

At the conclusion of class, each participant will have multiple examples if of this technique applied to figures of all types. After gaining some confidence through some Specific shapes and warm ups, participants will design their own one- lined creations

45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
