Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Dariela Gomez and I am a teacher from Texas in the United States. I have obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Bilingual Elementary Education from Texas A&M University as well as Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a Reading Specialization.

Over the years as a dual language elementary teacher, I worked with students from a variety of different ages, backgrounds, and abilities. I have taught Kindergarten, Second grade, and 1st Grade. I absolutely LOVE working with young little learners because their minds are constantly growing and expanding. Their minds are little sponges that are eager to soak everything in and learn!

Additionally, I have been teaching for 6 years. I have tutored after school for 3 years at a tutoring center in which they focused on STEAM activities such as science experiments, 3D printing, coding, etc. I have also been a track coach for kids where I helped them with their running abilities and helped them develop their skills to be better runners and athletes. Most of my runners have gone on to the regional and state levels.

I believe my lessons should always be lively, filled with enjoyable activities and most importantly beneficial to my students. Teaching is my passion and hobby, so I am super lucky to have a job in education. I am understanding, patient, and aware of how to talk to students and help them become more confident. During a lesson, I focus on the students and their abilities. Teaching is my thing! I am very patient, flexible and open-minded. I encourage my students to ask questions, take risks and overcome the fear of making mistakes as this is part of the learning process. All levels are welcome.
