Beginner Level

This is a class is for learners to gain math confidence and begin forming a strong math foundation.

The math skills for this class will include subtraction, subtraction math facts minus 1 and 2, math word problems and math riddles. We will practice mental math and  counting back strategies with subtraction.  

I will use games, songs and hands on activities to teach this class. 
 
I believe learning should be fun, as well as educational.

Week 2 :  Jan. 17 -Subtraction strategies, math facts, word problems, math riddles

Hi my name is Lynn and I am excited to be teaching on Outschool.

I graduated with a bachelor degree in education.  I am a certified teacher with an endorsement in Pre-K - 4th grade.  
I taught first grade for 18 years and I have taught kindergarten for the last 11 years.  I also have over 15 years of experience volunteering with pre-schoolers and young adults.  I love teaching and making an impact on children of all ages.   I feel so blessed to be able to have a job I love!  

I believe that learning  should be interactive and fun as well as educational. I also believe that all children learn and develop at their own pace and I believe in meeting children where they are when they come to my class.  I will offer a variety of activities in my classes to enhance each students learning experience. 

In my free time I enjoy riding my bike, crafting with my cricut, reading, going to the beach and pool, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.
