Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 1
In this math mystery, the learners will be solving the mystery of how the ornaments got on the tree. I will need some really great math detectives to help me!

At the beginning of class, the learners will learn about evergreen trees and how they stay green in the winter months. Next, the learners will be using clues to solve the math mystery. The learners will be using their math skills to add and compare numbers. The learners will also be comparing numbers by looking at how many different ornaments are on the tree. At the end of class, the math detectives will play an ornament themed game.

Learners will need to have some prior knowledge of addition and subtraction. Learners will also need to know how to count up to 20. This class is geared mostly toward advanced kindergarten and first grade students. I am looking forward to seeing your learner in my class!

Hello families!

My name is Stephanie. I live in Massachusetts in the United States of America. I am a fun, passionate, and enthusiastic teacher. My favorite subjects to teach are math, science, and creative writing. There is so much to learn and explore!

I graduated from Salem State University with a master's degree in Elementary Education. I also have a lot of previous experience teaching learners from Preschool to 4th grade.

Learning is so much more than just listening to facts. Children need the opportunity to inquire, observe, and discover content that is being taught. My mission as a teacher is to make sure students feel engaged in my lessons and are growing as learners.
