Students will start by learning what an inference is by learning the keywords schema and evidence. We will spend 20 minutes discussing how these words work together like puzzle pieces to make these inferences. We will use multi-sensory approaches to really learn the vocabulary in only 20 short minutes together. We will then put those vocabulary words to good use in a fun game of "What's in the bag?" I will choose objects one by one out of the mystery bag and have students make their...
Students will learn what an inference is not only by definition, but also how to use and make inferences on their own.
Paper and Pencil or Dry erase marker and board (optional) Students are also welcome to bring a few objects that represent them. They can show them to the class and have us inference what those objects mean to them. For example. an apple = they want to be a teacher when they grow up or they like to eat apples
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
