45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will start by learning what an inference is by learning the keywords schema and evidence. We will spend 20 minutes discussing how these words work together like puzzle pieces to make these inferences. We will use multi-sensory approaches to really learn the vocabulary in only 20 short minutes together. We will then put those vocabulary words to good use in a fun game of "What's in the bag?" I will choose objects one by one out of the mystery bag and have students make their own inferences as we go. We will see who can put all the pieces together to figure out the answer as to what those objects mean by using their schema, evidence and inferencing. Students do not need any background knowledge.
Learning Goals
Students will learn what an inference is not only by definition, but also how to use and make inferences on their own.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello my name is Teacher Re-Re and I am so excited to be your teacher. I have been teaching for 9 years and am currently a Reading Specialist. I work with different levels of students and help ESL and dyslexic learners become stronger readers while growing their love for reading. I also have taught online English for 4 years. Teaching is my true passion in life. My mission as a teacher is to motivate and inspire each child by making learning fun and engaging so that they are able to achieve anything. I am a married mother of 2 and have many different animals that keep life fun. We raise Silkie chickens which are my absolute favorite. You will get to meet many of my animals through out my lessons.
I love to draw and journal and love bright colors. I always encourage my students to color code notes, journals, classes and anything else they can add a little color to. This little trick helps your brain remember so many little important details. Its also great for remembering order and steps. I look forward to sharing fun, engaging and meaningful lessons that each student can learn and take away with something new each and every time. I am so excited to learn and meet with each of you. As we say in Texas I will see Y’ALL soon in the Outschool classroom. :)
