Intermediate Level
In this class, learners will be taught what a topic sentence is, how to identify topic sentences and how to write topic sentences. I will teach the theory about what a topic sentence is, where topic sentences are used and why topic sentences are used. After that, using examples of essay titles and subsequent sentences, I will ask learners to identify which are topic sentences and which are not. Finally, I will use examples of essay titles and ask the learner to write a topic sentence for each essay title. All learners are welcome in my class. I suggest that the learner has an intermediate level of English.
