Students will gain a deeper understanding of the text by relating it to their own experiences and existing knowledge. Students will learn how to summarize a text. Students will learn that these strategies can be applied to all their reading.
I teach reading comprehension to pupils aged 7-11, and have held the role of Subject Coordinator for Literacy in several schools in the UK.
