"Let's Talk Sports" Social Club
In this social club, students will discuss the ongoing entertainment that is the world of sports. We will converse, debate, and analyze the weekly news of what is happening in the major sports leagues including the MLB, NBA, NFL and more!

In the "Let's Talk Sports" Social Club, we will spend the majority of our time together conversing about the major sports news and current events happening across the United States and the globe. Students will get the opportunity to share their thoughts on current happenings around the major sports leagues, express their views and opinions on these events in a structured manner, and engage in healthy debates about the sports world and its teams! As the teacher, I will act as the facilitator and moderator, engaging the group with question prompts, sharing weekly sports news to prompt discussion, and from time to time engaging in fun trivia or games connected to the sports world. I strive to keep this social club a place where students are able to engage in raw social interaction with others and myself and discuss a common topic of interest, but in a safe, and supportive manner.

Pre-Requisites
It is useful in this club to have some basic knowledge of some (not all) of the major sports leagues including the NBA, MLB, NFL, NHL, WNBA etc.

I have grown up, and to this day live in a sports world. I played just about every sport you can think of as an adolescent, prioritizing baseball and basketball in my later years, and to this day still playing baseball and softball.
I have coached baseball, both girl's and boy's basketball, as well as flag football at the middle school level.
