Does your girl need an outlet to talk with someone who might share more interests with her than her siblings or parents? Does your girl need time to warm up to conversations and thus needs more opportunities to open up? Or, is she looking for a friend? Come join the Girls' Social Club! We meet once a week to share our thoughts and ideas, to listen, and to learn from one another. Each week, I will lead the girls' conversation around a topic through questions and small activities! We will talk about a varied range of topics including: movies, hobbies, books, animals, toys, and more! I will occasionally provide the class with a scenario in which they have to come up with ideas or plans for it (for example, "There is a ball, or fancy party, this weekend and you have to create your own outfit, what would you make? Think colors, design, how it represents you, etc?"). The girls will then break out into groups and communicate with each other to execute their ideas and plans! We will not only practice communicating our thoughts and opinions, but also work on our interpersonal skills by listening and mindfully encouraging one another to share and participate. Teacher expertise and credentials
Thank you for stopping by! My name is Maipacher (my-pa-chur) but you can call me Ms. Pacher.
You can expect writing/English classes and other creative pop up classes from me! If there is a specific class you would like to request, please feel free to reach out!
Here is a little background about me: I have a degree in English and have always loved writing and poetry. As a child, I would copy library books, scribble on everything I could, and memorize lines that I loved. Storytelling was what I cherished! Into adulthood, I wrote short stories, got my degree, became a poet and spoken word artist. I have performed in various community events, became an English as a Second Language (ESL) virtual teacher to young children ages 4-16 for over four years, became TESOL certified, and tutored English and writing for two years prior to that. Now, I homeschool my own grade school children!
I believe that learning should be an engaging and insightful experience! I strive to show my children a love for learning and the amazing things that can happen when you dive into your interests, passions, and gifts.
I hope to see you in the classroom!
