Let's Sing!- A Group Class on the Fundamentals of Vocal Performance

Hello! Thank you for your interest in this class!

This course focuses on the fundamentals that you will need to be a successful singer and performer. 

***Please note that participation is a requirement in this 5-week course. There will be a 45-second to one minute performance at the end of every class that will be expected from each learner, and a performance day at the last class meeting. Stage fright is completely understandable (and okay to have while performing!), but a large portion of this course involves active singing. If you do not feel your child is ready for this, I encourage you to consider one of my other courses, such as Get That Broadway Singing Voice, or Get Your 5-Week Package.*** Thank you!

Class Curriculum (this is what will be covered in each class):

Class 1:
-Vocal Warm-Up
-Introduction to class 
-Breathing Techniques and Posture
-Presentation with video(s) of performers followed by discussion
-45 second- 1 minute performance from each student

Class 2:
-Vocal Warm-Up
-Brief review of previous lesson
-Discussion of vocal placement and different vocal registers
-Presentation with video(s) of performers followed by discussion
-45 second- 1 minute performance from each student

Class 3: 
-Vocal Warm-Up
-Brief review of previous material
-Anatomy of the Vocal Folds (***We will be showing real vocal cords and diagrams of the larynx. Please let me know if your child is made uncomfortable by this so that I may provide a warning.**)
-45 second- 1 minute performance from each student

Class 4:
-Vocal Warm-Up
-Brief Review of Previous Material
-Performance Skills for a singer
-45 second- 1 minute performance from each student

Class 5: Performance Day!
-Each student performs a full song for the group. The goal is for them to incorporate elements of the knowledge we have learned into their performance. I will discuss this requirement in detail in class. Students are welcome to send me a video of their performance prior to Class#5 for feedback.

***Refund/Transfer/Makeup Policy: My classes follow the 'Limited' refund policy model - Full refund until a week in advance, or within 24 hours of purchase (until class starts). No transfers between sections may take place once the course begins. Additionally, please understand that no refunds or makeups will be issued for student no-shows or absences. Lastly, no refunds will be issued by the teacher for technical issues on the student's end.
