In this class learners will learn a skill that they will get to use over and over again. Learners will not only learn to make their own bread, but they will learn the science of making bread. Learners will not need any mixers, we will use our hands to mix the ingredients inside the bag. We will begin class by making our bread. While we are waiting for the bread to complete the initial rising we will have a fun lesson where we learn the science of bread making. This is a fun interactive...
water milk rapid rise yeast sugar salt crisco butter flavor flour Towel to cover dough as it rises Measuring cups and spoons Substitutions: (Will taste better using the above ingredients, but you may make these substitutions if needed.) You can use all water instead of milk. You can use olive oil or vegetable oil instead of crisco.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Younger learners may require parental assistance with measuring and heating a few ingredients. Also take note of the ingredients and ensure your learner doesn’t have any allergies.
