+Learners should know how to count to 100, with knowledge of skip counting.+ Learners will learn to tell time to the hour, half hour, quarter hours, and in five minute intervals. Students will be learn about analog and digital clocks through direct instruction. We will review the face of a clock, hour and minute hands, and what the numbers on a clock represent. Students will be asked to answer questions as I manipulate a toy clock. Students will also work together and then alone to solve visual problems on a worksheet. It is imperative that the learners are able to write either on the print-out, or with paper and pencil, or marker and white board. Students will also learn all about money! We will analyze each coin and bill, discussing who is on each piece of money, and their relevance. Learners will grasp the worth of each coin through real world practice, counting coins, and making change. We will begin simple addition and subtraction problems using different denominations of money. All of this goes hand in hand with skip counting - or, multiplication! This class will serve as an introduction to multiplication concepts and I will introduce fun ways to remember facts!
