1-2 hours per week. Students will be asked to practice their lines and songs for their performance. Students may need parental assistance to read and memorize their lines and songs.Class Experience
Does your child love to sing, dance and act? Then this is the camp for them! Students will learn not only how to act, sing and dance but also about script writing and song writing. At the end of the week the students will present on zoom their own musical that they have created. Example of Tentative Schedule Day 1 - Introduction to Musical and Creation of Students Characters Day 2 - Song writing and what to sing about Day 3 - Script Creation - what is our musical about Day 4 - Practice the full script, songs and musical Day 5 - Final performance day, put on a costume and lets perform! Different musicals will be created for every camp. Examples of potential musicals: Hero Academy - What would it be like to be a Hero and attend a school for Heroes? Pixelated - Help, I got sucked into my TV set! - How do I escape back to the real world? This class is offered as a camp for March/Spring Break, Summer, and Winter. You can attend more than once and each camp will be different. These camps are taught by Mr. James a former Broadway performer who loves teaching kids! His energy and enthusiasm is contagious and he always works to keep the students engaged and encouraged.

Parental Guidance
There is a risk of injury in any physical activity. By registering for this class you are assuming all risks. Please supervise your children during the class. Ensure they have a space that is comfortable to move in. We recommend about 5x5 feet of unobstructed space. Please remind students to stay off the furniture and dance on the floor.
Recommended Attire: socks (with grips) or running shoes (or other foot wear that is suitable for your flooring), something comfortable that is easy to move in. Please have a water bottle near by for any water breaks.

Markham School of Dance was established in October 2001. Offering dance classes including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, and Musical Theatre as well as performing arts in acting and vocal training.
We offer 5 main programs: Dance Stars for ages 2-5, FUNdations for Grades 1-12, Dance Intensive Examination program for Grades 1-12, Dance Company - Performance Team, Performing Arts program for Musical Theatre, Acting and Vocal. We offer an International Performance Program every 2-3 years giving students the opportunity to perform internationally. And have trained many students for obtaining their teachers certifications with various dance associations.

FAQs:
*What is the policy for refunds?
Limited Refund Policy - full refund up to a week in advance or within 24 hours of purchase. Within the week students can be moved to a different time of the same program if applicable or video recordings of the class will be available that you can watch through Outschool on your own schedule.
*What happens if the teacher cancels the class?
If in event of the rare situation that the teacher has to cancel the class, the class will be rescheduled. If you cannot attend the class that has been reschedule a video of the class will be provided for you to view.
*What happens if there is not enough students to run the class?
You will be notified if you are the only learner in the class within 48 hours before the class begins. The class may be postponed by a week, students can change to a different time within the same class or can opt for a full refund.
* Can I register for a class that is not in my child's age range?
If you are interested in registering for a class that is outside of your child's age range then we do ask that you contact the studio to confirm if that would be suitable. If you register for a class outside of your age range without confirming with the studio you will be unenroled and refunded.Reviews
