Students will gain valuable insight on musical theatre shows they have an interest in like Six, and practice sing-a-longs/acting monologues from the show that week; while exploring the characters, songs, and technical aspects.

🎭 A B O U T T H E C L A S S 🎭 - I have chosen a variety of different musicals that we will dive into to gain insight on the history, characters, music, and even the technical details. -Students will have an opportunity at the end of each class to perform in a sing-a-long and monologue reading. 🎶 C O U R S E O U T L I N E 🎶 -We will begin each class by having an open discussion about the specific musical. -We will then have technical ten which is ten minutes talking about either costumes, stage design, or lighting. -Then, we will talk about our favorite songs and characters. -We will talk about what the show is based off of in history. -Then, we will end with some sing-a-long and acting practice. - This is going to be a super fun class for those who love musical theatre! 🎭 ✨S C H E D U L E✨ TBD for summer 2025 🎭 C R E D E N T I A L S 🎭 -Degree in Theatre Arts and Education -Two years experience in a classroom setting -Directed shows for different ages -Performed in multiple shows with experience in singing, dancing, and technical design We are going to have a blast learning about this fun form of art. Students will improve in their knowledge on the world of musical theatre by understanding the details that go into each show, and performing songs and monologues from the show.

Parental Guidance
Some shows contain mature themes. I recommend having a little knowledge about the show before signing your kids up. I will keep it PG, but might have to explain some ideas that are more mature.
BEETLEJUICE: Some monologues contain darker themes, as well as the show itself. Talks of death and the afterlife are mentioned a few times.

Hello! My name is Mrs. Logan and I am a lover of theatre and teaching a wide variety of topics within the art. I used to watch a movie when I was a kid and act out the entire thing from start to finish. The rest was history!
Growing up, I was so intrigued in my history classes and I have found the subject to be fun to teach! I love to dive into historical figures and historical places around the world. This is what inspired me to add history classes as well.
I am excited for your learners to gain confidence and feel comfortable with self-expression in a variety of ways in my classes.

I believe that each student is unique and therefore deserves a learning environment that flows with who they are. I focus heavily on engagement and finding new ways to make class an enjoyable place to be. I believe that praising students for what they are doing well allows them to feel like they succeed. I focus heavily on a positive learning environment in which we learn a lot and have fun doing it!
