Class Experience
This class is for any student that is involved in theatre. Students will present a musical theatre audition with a monologue or a song selection. They will be coached in the following criteria: Characterization, Projection, Memorization, Vocal Technique, Physical Presentation. A review of their head shot and resume can also be addressed in the session.
Learning Goals
Students will gain insight into their auditioning skills and a clear understanding of areas that need improvement.

Parental Guidance
A prepared monologue (30-60 sec.) or song (30 sec.) should be memorized before the session.
Supply List
Monologue or song selection resources are available before the class to allow students to be prepared for their session.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi. I am a teaching artist in the performing arts. I am an educator, performer, director, composer and playwright. I have a M.A. degree in Musical Theatre with a Certificate in Music Composition. I specialize in arts intergration for core subjects using music and drama.
I offer classes in music and theatre arts including general music, singing techniques, choral groups, music theory and composition, musical theatre techniques, acting basics, playwriting, piano and keyboard, intro to digital music, intro to music entertainment business.
I believing in mentoring my students and helping them see the potential of their talents and skills. A discipline in the arts requires a journey where every individual progresses at their own pace. I use my creative energy in my lessons and encourage student led projects.
