Learning Story Elements and Homophones With Little Penguin
Students will practice Listening comprehension as we learn about story elements, summarizing, predicting, inferring and learning about homophones
Learners will listen to a fictional story about a Silly Little Penguin ( Little Penguin's Tale). Through the story we will predict and infer the events of the story. After the story we will discuss the story elements in detail. We will recall characters, setting, theme, and summarize the story. Students will also learn about Homophones and play a matching game with pictures of words that are pronounced the same, but spelled differently and have different meanings! For Example: Little...
Students will improve their listening comprehension skills. They will be able to discuss all story elements and improve reading skills as they learn to predict and infer information in a story. Students will also learn what a homophone is and be able to identify them when they see them in a reading text.
