Class Experience

Have you ever wondered how certain elements were discovered, what their special characteristics are, and how we use them in everyday life? Element Exploration is an ongoing class where learners will be exploring a new element every week to answer those questions! Each week learners will learn about a different element on the periodic table through interactive discussions. 
This class is an introduction to elements no prior knowledge is needed. 
 Examples of the material that will be covered...

My passion is to get students interested in science and chemistry. I have taught science and chemistry for 8 years and love being about to share my passion of science with all my students.

Students will receive handouts/notes in the classroom prior to class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
