Let's have fun learning to draw a different realistic horse every workshop! Let me teach you the secrets to building the shape of the eyes, adding depth and texture, and then finishing details and shading! During this class, I will take your students step by step in creating a realistic Horse. From building the shape of the eyes to adding the details, depth, shading, and texture! Drawing realistic horse features is a great way for your artist to draw what they love by learning the proper terms and techniques! Drawing is something you can practice continually and still find room for improvement. IF you’re looking to sharpen your skills, there are three areas you can focus on. The first is the construction or building of your subject; making construction sketches lightly on the page is an essential habit that saves time and produces consistency when drawing the same object in different poses. Another area is simplification, or breaking things down into their most basic elements. Finally, focus on expressing volume and weight through highlights and shadows. Of course, it takes time and hard work to improve your drawing, but following these tips will help get you there! Your artist will build confidence! Your artist stays must inspire! I teach at any level! Please review my profile for more human features, advanced classes, or Private lessons! https://outschool.com/teachers/Emily-Albright Supplies: VERY IMPORTANT: your artist has the right supplies! Smooth white paper 8 1/2 x 11 Graphite Pencils HB, 2B, 4B, 6B Black colored pencil Erasers - plastic (white), Mono Zero, and kneaded Blending tools: stump, Q-tip, paintbrush, tissue Recommended Arteza Drawing Set https://amzn.to/3THiqp6 Please note I have a PDF with the list of supplies I use for reference. ~ IMPORTANT~ Be on time for class! This is a step-by-step lesson, and you need to be on time. If your artist is late, I will let them in class, and they can participate where we are in the drawing. I will offer your artist the option of doing the complete lesson on the recording after class has finished and the lesson has been uploaded to the cloud. *All class times are approximate. Class length varies based on student ability and the number of enrolled learners. Classes are designed to run at most the allotted time.* *Please note: This is an art class, and I can only give feedback and proper instruction if your child has their camera on and communicates with me. This allows me to see how students progress and ensure no one falls behind. *According to Outschool policy, all students need to be registered separately. If they are not, they are to be placed in the waiting room until the parent can make arrangements to register the extra learners, or the teacher may refund them. We understand the desire for friends or siblings to watch, but if two children participate under one registration, they will be sent back to the waiting room per Outschool policy. One child per registration. It is acceptable for registered learners to share a screen! ~If you are late to class or miss the class, you have access to the recorded class for one week. You can find the recording in the classroom. You will only be allowed in class if you are 1in class. We have finished blocking in the dragon by this time, and you have missed the most essential part of the lesson. I cannot go over those directions again and hold up the class. You can watch the recorded class. The class is available 30 minutes after we finish the class. I do not offer refunds or transfers 24 hours before class time. I adhere to the Outschool refund and transfer policy: “Full refund or class-to-class transfer within 24 hours of the class start time.” If you miss the class, you can view the class recording on the classroom page.

Building strong artistic foundations! 🚀 My drawing classes are designed to inspire young artists, fostering creativity and confidence while developing essential skills. We cover everything from dragons and playful cats to the intricacies of realistic and 3D drawing. Ongoing classes, workshops, and flexible self-paced options are available. Give your child the gift of artistic growth! Emily Albright - Where creativity meets skill.
Unleash your inner artist with drawing lessons for young creators!
I dream of making a fun space for young people to feel safe, be creative, and build confidence!
Do you have a young artist who loves drawing:
Dragons like Toothless from HTTYD or the fierce tribes of Wings of Fire?
The brave cats of Warrior Clans or the wonders of real animals?
Maybe their imagination wants to create something entirely new!
No matter what they love to draw, I'm here to help them learn and grow!
My passion is to inspire young people to:
~Find courage and confidence in their creativity.
~Master the skills to bring their artistic visions to life.
~Have fun and enjoy the process of creating.
From basic drawing techniques to exploring different mediums, my interactive classes are designed to:
~Build confidence and self-esteem.
~Spark the imagination and fuel creativity.
~Develop essential skills like observation and problem-solving.
~Most importantly, foster a lifelong love for art!
Whether your young artist is a beginner or wants to refine their skills, I have a class for them!
My journey began with sketching as a child and working on graphic designs for T-shirts as a teen. As an adult, I have designed and painted larger-than-life murals and now teach art classes to the public. I currently teach weekly live worldwide art classes online. I get in-person interaction with my local events for those in the Houston, Texas, area!
I reside in Houston, Texas, and I am a retired homeschooled mom of three. (My last kid graduated in 2024). And a proud U.S. Marine Mom! When not putting my latest art onto paper, I can be found "pumping iron" at the gym with my husband of over 27 years. My family is very committed to saving animals, and our house is always full of foster animals from our local animal shelter! Beware, you may see or hear a puppy, kitten, or guinea pig in a live class!
My passion is inspiring young people to find courage and confidence in their creations! Imagination is the doorway to being able to express yourself and be happy!
Motto: Be who you needed when you were younger.
