Draw a Realistic Horse Workshop ~ New Horse Design Every Lesson

Let's have fun learning to draw a different realistic horse every workshop! Let me teach you the secrets to building the shape of the eyes, adding depth and texture, and then finishing details and shading! 

During this class, I will take your students step by step in creating a realistic Horse.  From building the shape of the eyes to adding the details, depth, shading, and texture!  Drawing realistic horse features is a great way for your artist to draw what they love by learning the proper terms and techniques! 

Drawing is something you can practice continually and still find room for improvement. IF you’re looking to sharpen your skills, there are three areas you can focus on. The first is the construction or building of your subject; making construction sketches lightly on the page is an essential habit that saves time and produces consistency when drawing the same object in different poses. Another area is simplification, or breaking things down into their most basic elements. Finally, focus on expressing volume and weight through highlights and shadows. Of course, it takes time and hard work to improve your drawing, but following these tips will help get you there!  Your artist will build confidence!

Supplies: 
VERY IMPORTANT: your artist has the right supplies!
Smooth white paper 8 1/2 x 11
Graphite Pencils HB, 2B, 4B, 6B
Black colored pencil
Erasers - plastic (white), Mono Zero, and kneaded
Blending tools: stump, Q-tip, paintbrush, tissue

~ IMPORTANT~ Be on time for class! 
This is a step-by-step lesson, and you need to be on time. If your artist is late, I will let them in class, and they can participate where we are in the drawing. I will offer your artist the option of doing the complete lesson on the recording after class has finished and the lesson has been uploaded to the cloud.

*All class times are approximate. Class length varies based on student ability and the number of enrolled learners. Classes are designed to run at most the allotted time.*

*Please note:  This is an art class, and I can only give feedback and proper instruction if your child has their camera on and communicates with me. This allows me to see how students progress and ensure no one falls behind. 

*According to Outschool policy, all students need to be registered separately. If they are not, they are to be placed in the waiting room until the parent can make arrangements to register the extra learners, or the teacher may refund them.  We understand the desire for friends or siblings to watch, but if two children participate under one registration, they will be sent back to the waiting room per Outschool policy. One child per registration. It is acceptable for registered learners to share a screen!

~If you are late to class or miss the class, you have access to the recorded class for one week. You can find the recording in the classroom. You will only be allowed in class if you are 1in class. We have finished blocking in the dragon by this time, and you have missed the most essential part of the lesson. I cannot go over those directions again and hold up the class. You can watch the recorded class. The class is available 30 minutes after we finish the class.
