Calling all Heroine's to come forth! Evil has hit the land and we must save the kingdom! For heroine's are not found they are made! In this one week camp we will spend an hour each day creating a female character model. We will discuss the basics behind anatomy and which areas apply to the 3d world. We will talk about the difference between modeling a character and sculpting a character. What is considered low polygons and how to make the best use of the polygons they have. This camp is not for the absolute beginner so please be sure your student knows how to move around in a 3d software and understands the basic tools. This camp is an extension off of my Object Adventures and Pirate Ship Adventure camps. If your student has been in either of those or has done some modeling before in Blender, Roblox or other software they should be okay here. During this class we will be doing: Day 1 - Setup and Chest/Body building - what do you mean characters start with boxes? Day 2 - Arms and Legs - What no hands and feet? Day 3 - Hands and Feet - Yay she can walk! Day 4 - Head and body - Start the head to finish the body? Day 5 - Ears and Hair -Lets give our character some ears and hair

Parental Guidance
Students will follow along with me in the software Blender while learning how to create a 3d character. Blender is a free 3d software that can be downloaded from www.blender.org and does not require an account. Blender is an open source 3d modeling software that is great to allow beginning modelers to learn the tools of the trade without paying for an expensive suite of software.
Supply List
Campers are required to have a three button mouse and not a track pad for working in Blender. Also you will need to download and install Blender, a free 3d modeling software, that can be found at https://www.blender.org/. Please check with the software and hardware requirements of your computer before downloading Blender. I have found most computers made in the last 5 years have no problems running the software.

Hello!
My name is Liz McCorkill and I am a 3d Artist, Online Teacher, Game Developer, Bookworm, and a Nerd. I am also the proud owner of two fur babies cats, Pebbles and Midnight. Warning Pebbles loves to go to school and may show up in class from time to time just to say hi.
I have been working with children for the last 4 years as a teacher, bus driver, and stay at home Aunt. Before that I worked in software testing and teaching at Central Piedmont Community College.
I would love to bring the classes I created for my college level students in 3d Modeling and Game Development to a younger generation so that they can see what really goes on behind the scenes to make their favorite games.
Along with games I love to read and delve into world history and trivia like why do we shake hands with our right hands and not our left? Well for those that don't know it is because people would use their dominant hand to fight with swords, daggers, or guns. It was a sign of respect to put down your weapon and shake hands. Also it was harder to hurt the other person if your dominant hand was busy.
Pebbles and I cannot wait to meet your student and show them around my world be it in 3d modeling, books or history.Reviews
