In this one week camp we will spend an hour each day creating a female character model. We will discuss the basics behind anatomy and which areas apply to the 3d world. Campers are required to have a three button mouse and not a track pad for working in Blender. Also you will need to download and install Blender, a free 3d modeling software, that can be found at https://www.blender.org/. Please check with the software and hardware requirements of your computer before downloading Blender. I have found most computers made in the last 5 years have no problems running the software.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will follow along with me in the software Blender while learning how to create a 3d character. Blender is a free 3d software that can be downloaded from www.blender.org and does not require an account. Blender is an open source 3d modeling software that is great to allow beginning modelers to learn the tools of the trade without paying for an expensive suite of software.
