In this 75 minute class, students will walk away knowing how to perform 3 amazing magic tricks. I have selected the 3 that are easiest to learn quickly with the most amazing effects. Don't be surprised if you are truly fooled and entertained by the magic they learn! Watch as your child sets up to push a coin through the table. You are watching the coin very carefully. What happens next is truly unexpected. More than just the coin travels through your kitchen table! Imagine the look on their face as you are examining your own kitchen table to see if there is a hole in it that you never knew about. Next, with what appears to be high-level FBI style kinesics (reading body language) your child can determine what card you are thinking of. They fan a deck of cards and hold your wrist directing your hand over the fan. Was it a faint change in your pulse as your hand passed over your card... or was it something else? Lastly, your child will ask you to think of 3 things. A food, a number, and a place. Intently, they look deep into your mind. Beads of sweat build as they challenge themselves to see your thoughts. One at a time, they write down each on pieces of paper. Amazingly, when you open the papers, there they are. Each of your thoughts derived magically.
Learning Goals
Goal 1: Increased self-confidence: I have personally seen children who previously hid behind their parents, standing on stage in front of 50 strangers confidently doing magic.
Goal 2: Foster Perseverance: Learning magic tricks can be challenging, and children may need to practice repeatedly before mastering a trick. This teaches them the value of perseverance and practice in achieving their goals.
