In this course I adopt and train a wild mustang. I will record my sessions with the horse and in class we will review the footage, share what I did, students can input their thoughts, and watch the journey of this mustang from wild to mild.

Students get to feel engaged in something real as we follow the journey of a wild mustang I adopt and train! I will record my sessions with the horse and in class we will review what I did that week. Best for intermediate to advanced horse learners who have horse experience or taken other horse classes. Students will improve their understanding of horse training methods and application, equine behavior differentiating fear, curiosity, and aggression, how to act around feral or untrained horses, knowledge about feral vs domestic horses, and more!
I have personally adopted and trained multiple wild mustangs and competed in 100 day mustang training challenges placing Horsemanship Champion, Reserve Champion, and 3rd in those competitions.
Homework Offered
Optional homework will not be checked or graded. Extra assignments may include horse education resources and horse training videos for continued learning outside of live meetings.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
