50 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students with little to no experience in caring for horses will find this class useful in preparation for caring for their first horse, or deciding if they're ready to make that commitment. We will discuss the importance of dietary needs, routine care, maintenance, and what a horse’s living quarters should look like to keep them happy, healthy and safe. Students will also examine tools and tack involved in routine care discussed, as well as housing set ups. Slides will be shown to illustrate topics covered in class. Questions will be, both, welcomed and encouraged so students can get the most out of this class from a teacher with over 16 years of experience in horse care and training. At the end of class, we will learn the parts of a hoof using the "annotate" feature in zoom.
