Intermediate - Advanced Level
This is a follow up class to my advanced level judging course, however, all students who have had at least some practice judging horses, but are interested in additional practice will enjoy this class. Horse judging is a competition where contestants express their opinion of a class of horses by ranking them based on conformation. They also explain their reasoning for placing the horses in that order. Students will judge a mock halter class of horses on their own. Slides will be shown of the horses we discuss. After we've seen all the horses, we will individually place the class and write down our reasons. By the second half of class, we will take turns presenting a “set” of reasons. Once everyone has had a chance to do so, we will discuss the horses as a group and critique our reasons. This is a laid back class meant to be either for fun, or extra help before a competition. This class will be too advanced for beginners, and students seeking help with structuring their reasons specifically will prefer my advanced class. Materials required to complete this class are posted in the supply list section below.

Pre-Requisites
