Introduction to Video Production Workshop With Ms. Jeanie

This course is an 8-week exploration into the creativity of the filmmaking process covering the three main stages of movie production including:  

Pre-Production – Scriptwriting & storyboarding, location scouting, budgeting, and finding talent.
Production – Blocking & directing, camera angles, lighting, and shooting your video.  
Post-Production – Editing your movie, adding audio and graphics to your movie, and exporting your finished movie.  
Expectations and Goals  
The student will understand the Filmmaking process – covering Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. With a focus on camera movements, angles, shot types, lighting, and digital film editing. 

Course Materials 
Required Materials 
- A notebook 
- Internet Access 
- A webcam and microphone 
- A camera, cell phone, or tablet w/ a camera for shooting video. 
Optional Materials 
There are two software programs we will be exploring to edit our video:  
• Adobe Premiere (subscription needed) 
• Filmora 9 (usable free version)

Week 4 Production Lighting arrangements 
Week 5 Post-Production Intro to the editing software workspace 
Week 6 Post-Production Editing (Organization in Editing) 
Week 7 Post-Production Add the video elements (titles, transitions &  Audio) 
Week 8 Post-Production Exporting our movies
