Inspire Creativity Academy strives to teach learners common core standards while having fun with friends and at their own pace. We work on a standard during the meeting and continue working with the learners until they have mastered each standard. Each meeting will stand alone and learners can enroll and unenroll. This class will focus on completing each standard throughout the entire year. We observe holidays and have vacations throughout the year. Please check out the vacation list of dates. Welcome to our vibrant sixth-grade class, where every student's unique strengths and learning styles are celebrated and supported! Our class meets three times a week for 40 minutes, offering a diverse curriculum that encompasses Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Through the integration of inclusive educational tools and platforms, we embark on a journey of exploration, collaboration, and growth. In this sixth grade class, teachers will follow the common core standards. Our curriculum is created by a certified curriculum creator. We also use IXL and Education.com to supplement our curriculum. In Language Arts, we will dive into the world of literature, writing, grammar, and critical thinking, nurturing a love for reading and expression. Math sessions cover a wide spectrum of mathematical concepts, ensuring each student has the opportunity to engage with material at their own level of understanding. Social Studies and Science classes foster an appreciation for history, geography, civics, and the wonders of the natural world, promoting curiosity and inquiry. Our class schedule is carefully crafted to provide a balanced and enriching learning experience. Mondays are dedicated to Language Arts, Tuesdays to Math, and Wednesdays to Social Studies and Science. Each session is designed to be inclusive and accessible, with activities tailored to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Parental Guidance
Learners will be using the websites Gimkit, Quizizz, Nearpod and Blooket. These websites just require learners to create a nickname and use a game pin provided by the teacher during the meeting.
Learners will be given a link for Minecraft Education. None of the websites will require learners to provide any personal information such as email, location, etc.
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe that the discussion will be literary based (short passage) and not the allegory.
