25 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
During this one-time class, students will learn how to serve in volleyball. We will discuss the basics of the underhand serve, then move onto the overhand serve. As the teacher, I will guide the students through the correct footing, posture, and motion of serving. Then, I will model and describe how to serve. Being outside or in a large area to practice serving is ideal so nothing gets broken or damaged. Also having a partner, friend, or parent to help and/or a wall to practice on. In the materials section below, you can find everything that you will need for this class. Parent or adult supervision is necessary for this class due to physical activity. This is a beginner class on serving, so there is no prior experience or knowledge required.
