In this one time class, students will read and annotate the text, The Amazing Octopus, to improve their comprehension. I will teach this course using the online program Nearpod, which allows students to use a variety of digital tools that closely aligns with common core state standards and in-person work. This is an introductory class for scholars that can read at around a level J (Lexile 450-620). Students will interact with each other, and the teacher by answers questions, underlining, and sharing their thoughts with the class. No prior experience is needed for this course. If learners enjoy this course, they can sign up for reading comprehension one.
