Welcome to Reading Comprehension and Writing! Get ready for a two-part adventure in understanding stories and crafting your own! In this exciting class, kids will dive into a new, copyright-free piece of literature each week, bringing stories to life with imagination and creativity. On the first day, we’ll explore the story together, making sure everyone understands what’s happening, who the characters are, and what they’re feeling. It’s like solving a fun puzzle—every detail counts! Then, on the second day, it’s time to become writers! You’ll learn a new style of writing each week, from crafting the perfect sentence to telling your own mini-story. Whether it’s writing from a different character’s perspective or creating your own ending, you’ll have the chance to get creative and show off your ideas. This class is ongoing, so each week is a fresh start with a brand-new story and writing challenge. You can join us for one week or the whole year—it’s up to you! Jump in whenever you like, and enjoy exploring different perspectives and storytelling styles in a fun, interactive way. Let's make reading and writing an adventure together! Keep in mind these will be taught at grade level. We will help along the way.
