  • Students will increase their reading comprehension and paraphrasing skills while building confidence in their ability to read, think, and learn.
The founder of Lemons-Aid, Mrs. Lemons has a B.A. in English and an M.Ed in Education Administration. She is certified to teach English, has a principal's license, and has many years of experience at every level. She also supervises teachers in their undergraduate and graduate level teacher preparation programs at Colorado Christian University. She is a teacher of teachers. 

All teachers who teach this class have an English degree, teaching experience, and training, giving your learner a teacher who is a content-area expert who loves kids. 
Assignments
Frequency: 3-6 per week
Feedback: Available upon request
Details: Learners will write in the chatbox throughout each class, receiving immediate feedback from the teacher. All work is completed during class. There is no outside-of-class homework.

It is not a required pre-requisite, but this one-time class is an introduction to the 6-step approach to reading and paraphrasing a text:

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The Social Studies text is about a Titanic survivor who recounts her story. This may be scary or sad for young or sensitive learners.
