Introduction to Pre-Kindergarten Skills
In this one time class students will be introduced to letter recognition, letter sounds, number identification, counting to ten, colors, and shapes.

This class will serve as an introduction to Pre-Kindergarten skills. Students will learn colors, shapes, numbers, letters, counting, and phonic sounds associated with letters. Throughout the class students will work on classroom behavior skills such as taking turns and following directions. Class will begin with introductions and basic rules. This will last approximately 5 minutes. There will be ten minute direct instruction using slides with group student interaction (repeat after me). There will be a fifteen minute turn taking exercise in which the material is reviewed and students will take turns answering questions.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I make learning basic skills and life skills fun for learners of all ages. I am a graduate of North Georgia College and State University with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I hold a teaching certificate in the state of Georgia in the areas of Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Adapted Special Education, Middle Grades Reading, Writing, and Science. I will be graduating from University of West Georgia in December with a masters degree in special education with an endorsement in Autism. I have taught self-contained special education for six years and resource special education at the middle school level for two years. I love a challenge and helping student to find the right educational path that will lead them to success. I have a wonderful husband and four amazing children between the ages of three and ten.
