Hello, and welcome to my class “Recorder Fun”! 😃 I am so glad you are here! In this introductory recorder class for complete beginners, we are going to learn the basics of playing the recorder: We will learn how to hold the recorder, and how blow correctly in order to make a sound. We will learn a little bit of history of the recorder, as well as learn about the different types of recorders (there are many! ). We will learn about the musical alphabet, and also learn our first 3 music notes!...
Students can expect to learn: —how to hold the recorder and how to blow correctly —musical alphabet —how to recognize, read and write first 3 notes of musical alphabet —how to play those 3 notes on the recorder —learn to play a simple song with the 3 notes learned in the lesson —play a music game
It will be VERY important for the learner to adjust their Zoom audio settings before class. They will need to go in Zoom to 1) Audio settings 2) Advanced audio settings 3) Select “show in-meeting option to enable original sound” 4) Select “high fidelity music mode” 5) then go back to Zoom main meeting page and the option “enable original sound” will appear in the top left corner. They need to click on it This is VERY important for a good lesson experience—as it will allow me to hear the student playing SO much better. I will provide materials by sending pdf’s, or images to parents.
I will be using various sheet music on my screen during the lesson, I will also be using various games that i may share on my screen; I will also be sharing video and audio recordings of music studied in class on the screen
