What will be taught: Students will learn in sequence the life cycle of a lady bug. Students will label each life cycle of a lady bug. Student will discuss what happens during each stage of the lady bugs life cycle. Students will understand the concept of molting as the lady bug goes through stages. Students will make their own ladybug bug life cycle mini book and use the words that describe the different stage in the cycle. The students can use the mini book as a reference to help remember the cycle of the ladybug. Students will have visuals of different lady bugs to observe and discuss. How will the lesson be taught: doc cam, discussion, engagement, writing. Great for students who love science or just bugs. No previous experience necessary, or knowledge.
