1 in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class, students will be taught the cursive alphabet. We will cover the different line strokes needed to create the different cursive letters. The class will be structured as both a lecture and hands on format. I will show how each letter is made and the learner will practice along with me. This class will be taught over Zoom and learners will see me practice on both a whiteboard and up close on my own lined paper. They will also have access to a slideshow with short clips that show how to make each letter. I plan for this class to be interactive where students can share their experiences as we progress through the class. I will make time for students to stop and share on their progress after every few letters so we can help each other succeed. Learners will share out loud through our video chat or through the chat box. Learners will need to know how to write in print before attending this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the cursive alphabet in both capital and lower case letters.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I look forward to potentially working with your child! I am married with a young daughter and two energetic dogs. I am passionate about teaching and helping students love learning as much as I do.
As a former elementary school teacher I enjoy teaching all academic subjects. I enjoy teaching classes with an ELA focus because that has been my favorite subject since I was a student myself; however, I love creating classes that you have interest in such as science and social studies specific topics. I taught for 7 years in mostly 4th and 5th grade. I believe students learn best when they have choice in their learning. I truly enjoy helping guide students to finding success as learners and giving them the confidence to attain their goals.
