Class Experience

All you need is something to hit and something to hit with. Students range anywhere from full-on drum kits all the way down to slapping their legs with their hands. I have some recommendations at the bottom of this page, but it doesn't matter much how fancy the kit is. It's not what you hit, it's when you hit it. https://www.learnpianolive.com/blog/329-equipment.html

If you're looking for private one-on-one lessons, check out the details here: http://www.milestonesmusic.net/get-started.html

Together, we're going to learn drum basics while learning to play along with your favorite songs. Students will be introduced to a new song each week, and will also have plenty of chances to review and apply new material through games and activities that support learning.

Supply List
No need to purchase anything. At minimum, students should have 2 sticks from their yard and 2 buckets, pots or pans to hit. Eventually, a $2 pair of drumsticks or a 97-cent bucket could be a nice optional upgrade. If you have a drum kit, even better! Students will receive play-along tracks, sheet music PDFs, and related graphs, charts and activities.

I have taught music lessons in an online format for years and students love my fast-paced lessons and fun, engaging style. I believe that learning music should be as fun or as serious as the student wants it to be, and I enjoy inspiring young people to develop their musical abilities!
